My mat and bag are nowhere near arctic rated but they did ok. Got chilled by about 0400 so I got in my big army bag aswell. Toasty warm! The weight of the snow compromised the guys and the roof sagged a bit. But that is probably the most extreme it'll all get used.

I just spent the weekend camping...no tent though. Issue gonk bag, roll mat and basha. The one thing that really would have been nice is the aforementioned back door key

brave in the current weather! whats a Gonk bag? is this what they call a bed roll, sleeping bag, waterproof bag over and a foam matt under sleeping bag inside, can be rolled up and carried as one?

Gonk bag is just slang for the issue sleeping bag, which comes with a bivvy bag as well. I was getting paid for it though - all credit to anyone who was doing it for fun!

Doing a bit of hiking this weekend. Langdon beck to high cup nick (teesdale). About ten miles out, over night camp in the middle of nowhere, and then ten back. Just a tester. Looking forward to it.
