Hi

 

firstly hello as i just joined

second i know it isnt a chainsaw but there is no place like this that i found for other kit

The machine is 3/4 years old only used seasonally in my rather large garden but

its playing up now , starts ok and idles but will not run high speed for cutting and dies on me.

so far have :-

replaced fuel

reset carb settings

new plug

air filter is clean

checked the muffler / spark arrestor is clean

lubricated cutters

 

any ideas before i have to start dismantling the carburettor ?

Blockage on carb then. Take it apart give it a good clean out with carb cleaner. Check all the diaghrams are in good nick and hole holes or tears. Clean all channels out in carb. Remove high, low screw and give them a good blast through.

i had a hs45 exactly the same prob it was solved when i put new diaphragms in it was fine as said above that is a good way of solving problem.

Then you may have to reset carb again :)
