I have done it, you read the study guide and sit the exam, if you read it well enough you pass.......

 

Well perhaps its not quite that simple but essentially you take the exam whenever you feel ready for it.

 

The exam is international with tailoring for each region, for example the UK&I question bank has questions on UK law and British standards where the US question bank has ANSI and US law

 

Its a multi choice modular test, if you get an overall pass mark but fail on a domain you can re sit the domain.

 

Once you have passed you have to keep studying to maintain it. You gather Continuing Education Units CEU's and submit them to ISA
