Sorry to hear of your loss thats so sad .I saved a dog the other day was not one of mine was a ladies who lives locally I was walking home and her dog shot off the cycle path straight in front of a transit and back in on the road right in front of me and came belting down the pavement towards me through pure fear after almost being hit by the van I just grabbed it think it was a boxer not as big as my shepherds so i took it back to the gate where the lady came running down the track with her other dog it must of just legged it and left her right behind because she was that out of breath from running she couldnt even speak!I was fuming told her it was a narrow miss and told her to put it on the lead poor thing the reason I was annoyed was not because the dog had obviously not listened to her it was because I know its not the first time this is the third dog she has had that has had no control or recall I have witnessed her dogs running off in front of vehicles on several occasions if I let my german shepherd behave like that im sure enough people would complain!

There is sorrow enough in the natural way

From men and women to fill our day;

And when we are certain of sorrow in store,

Why do we always arrange for more?

Brothers and sisters, I bid you beware

Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.

Rudyard Kipling
