Mr Humphries, the leaves have gone :thumbup:

Do you pass this tree often?

 

Could you get a shot of it when the leaves are gone?

This is the oak from post #2753, what's left of the brackets, and the nicely covered buttress area (and seat of root damage)...

Found this "slime" growing at the base of an Oak. The crown is healthy and the base has a fair bit of moss. The "slime" is growing on the south-west side and it the usual spot where dogs pee. Not sure if it bacterium or fungal related but it doesnt appear to be affecting the tree in any way.

Found this soft bracket growing on a cedar rustic picnic bench. It has been there for about 4 years and is holding up well. The legs are being replaced this year as they are just starting to rot at the base and the top weighs about 80kg.
