Although not particularly photogenic examples, these are a relatively rare good find nonetheless.

All but pic 5 are last years fb's.

 

Got a tip off as to rough location.

 

Ganoderma lucidum on roots of dead Hornbeam stump.

i saw a huge chicken of the woods on a cherry yesterday while driving along a country road, couldnt stop for a pic though. but i found this this morning dave:001_smile:that piece of wood is about 8 feet long
