Hi, I think its Heterobasidion annosum on some Beech roots?

 

Their some nice shots Steve, defo hetero for sure, as far as broadleafs are concerned only seen it on Ash and hazel myself:thumbup1:

 

As for these lads above talking about the identity of what was cleary grifola:001_tt2:, I dunno, i was gagged, but its all out now so i can say! amateurs!:lol:

 

Colybia? go and stand in the corner with your hands on your head bundle!:lol:

Quite so man...I really should spend more time and look a bit closely at the images....They are formed in a way that rules out all those I suggested....

In my defense I was pretty lathered...excuses excuses...excuse for another foray me thinks!!

 

Steve..I aint saying nuffink on the grounds that I might incriminate myself !

....any takers on this one?..I have a very rough idea about Inonotus hispidus but as it was found on a dead stump maybe not.

 

I will give you genus, but will rule out hispidus!

 

can you get some idea of the spore colour before i make a fool out of myself! i havent come across this myself yet so am saying squatt at the mo:001_rolleyes:

 

Come on steve, give us all you got image wise and i will give you the propper ident:001_cool:
