Colour threw me tbh, usualy see Grif more washed out grey/brown than this chocolate brown, but size & shape range of pores give it the nod for me.

Quite so man...I really should spend more time and look a bit closely at the images....They are formed in a way that rules out all those I suggested....

In my defense I was pretty lathered...excuses excuses...excuse for another foray me thinks!!

I will give you genus, but will rule out hispidus!

 

can you get some idea of the spore colour before i make a fool out of myself! i havent come across this myself yet so am saying squatt at the mo:001_rolleyes:
