MesterH- That is Amanita rubescens- The Blusher..Not much like those posted by Rob.:001_smile:

Im not surprised to see the Solitary in a group myself. They do appear to have slight coloration tho Rob...( I put that down to the detritus that sits on the caps...) Dunno!

Couple of randoms from today....

 

Dryads saddle on this Old declining Beech.

 

& Spindle shank, entirely saprophytic on this long fallen Oak.

Those blobs are interesting, they appear to be in some form of sac and hanging by a cord like attachment?

 

wierd for sure, where they small or large?

No clue, whatsoever.

its hard to judge the size of these but they have the characteristic grey tones and more importantky the slight lift or flair at the skirt edge or cap fringe.

 

Coprinus disseminatus- a pretty little incap, caommonly known as the fairy ink cap:thumbup1:

C. micacaceus is inrolled till it opens, by which time it also darkens, and also has the velum remnants so easy to exclude, also truncorum for similar reasons. (hope this helps in the future?)
