Had a good year on the shoot where my mates the keeper.Put a lot of effort when the poults arrived. There was a bit of illness but stamped it out straight away. We`ve also been right on top of the foxing although its been mostly on foot with nv as its too boggy to drive.

I do saturdays with my lad beating and take one of the dogs with us.Bags have been well up on last year despite the weather and the grain being poor quality.I`ve done a few days in the week on another shoot this season so should have three beaters days plus a days walked up at the end of the month.

I`ve also done a bit of loading on a couple of other shoots which has been fun, if a bit frantic.Double gunning.

Tried my seven month old lab for the first time after christmas, just to get her used to gunfire.Turned out my training has paid off and i`m really pleased with her progress.

Quite a few trees down though, wrecking a couple of pens so theres a bit of work to do in the off season with a new pen to build as well.
