thing worth mentioning when discussing these systems. is x2 the load on the anchor point and also if ground man or you cut through your anchor rope against the stem, then its down you go as quick as you like. if rigging big pieces potential to hit rope and snap as it already under tension. Unlikely but the risk are there, i am just saying beware aware.

like anything no the limits and dangers, but use to your full advantage too.

but this is a great tool and i use it alot.

completely agree with every word! try and keep the risks as manageable as possible, cos there are enough of them! having that knowledge in the back of your mind that your able to get down quickly whatever happens would i think definately give you more confidence and mental space to concentrate on the job in hand, not how to get out of is if it goes wrong (therefore hopefully meaning your less likely to have that accident in the first place)

Exactly right. Preoccupation buggers concentration right up and becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.... (Especially when you're terrified of heights anyway! :blushing:)

Very true Mog, I like to keep the rope in the bag and the line running behind the tree out the way. As you say though, always a risk.

quite agree with all, the risks are and will always be there, i guess its just a case of being as aware of them as possible but like you say mog, using it all to the best advantage whilst keeping within the boundaries. :001_smile:

I like your style of drawing mate, a credit to you

Thanks Paul! I've started using 'Paper' on ipad.... Saves me scanning in hand drawings, i think it has good potential, need a bit of practice though..... Just upgraded to the full package and ordered a pogo connect stylus to go with it, the griffin one I have is a bit indiscriminate...!
