scrape off the loose wet stuff first or all the wet mud will rise through the hardcore, I dug ours out and put loads of builders rubble down first to get above the water table, then brought in 60ton of crushed concrete and road plannings, and thats only the start, i did half the yard, and am now getting deliveries from mates of there nail free builders rubble, it looks a mess at first but well worth it,,glad I did it,,,we restrict out cross cutting of logs to a certain area to stop build up of sawdust,,,

Ah, we have the same issue EVERY year.

Our turning circle is just too small and every week I put the tippers wheels over the edge of the hardstanding and you know what that means...

We say we will wait until it dries out before doing any works but then we never get around to it.

I must waste an hour every week trying to get our Iveco out of the mire.

So I've done a deal with a guy to fell and grind out an oak at his place:thumbup1: and he will come with his 2.2ton digger and scrape away the fetid swamp before we visit the quarry. Just get it done I say!
