I think what Mikelawn means is that it's a tubular back pack.

 

I'd choose the Petzl though. I can't imagine all those little pockets would lsat very long.

 

In fact I nearly bought the Petzl except it doesn't have the internal spring to make it stand up and I don't need to carry it any distance.

Dont know what your planning on putting in the pockets but can't see how some friction cord and slings could break them

Sorry was half asleep in bed when was looking. It's not identical but it's simular. Its a great bag and you can fit loads in. I have got 45 m rope, spikes, helmet and few other bits. Comfy on back aswell. It stands up straight can take some abuse. Use it every day and when doing spruces and pinesalong the rail in Sweden we climb with them on our backs and when get to top lob them out. ( this is so our ropes ain't at the bottom in the snow and getting caught in the brash ) seems to be holding up real well.
