Performance intercooler will make a little difference for a lot of money

i beg to differ ! we don't use the normal LR aftermarket suppliers we have a different source and when fitted and the engine correctly tuned with the use of an accurate boost gauge and an Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor so that the fueling and air can be set to the correct setting the gains can be quite good over standard the lower end torque and the overall performance !

the next step is to go with a VNT turbo conversion these make the most difference when used with the above we run a 130 300tdi with this setup and it regularly goes full weight and tows off road too and the difference is quite dramatic mainly you first drive one with a VNT on it and you think where is the turbo lag~? there is none but the advantage is that you have boost form very low revs and therefore torque ! tuned correctly there are great we have re-tune other 300s that have had other kits fitted without the addition of EGT and bigger inter coolers etc and when people tweek pumps without knowing the temperature at t he exhaust or just post turbo you can run the risk of serious harm and its easy to over tune !

Jon yes bigger inter cooler is a good upgrade you will need to adjust the fueling to get best out of it and also a small tweek in boost pressure :)

Its a relative thing, the thick end of half a grand plus tuning for a bit more poke and less economy, cos you will just have to get yer toe in in won't you?
