Oak how much is it worth ?

Evening people I'm getting a lot of Oak removals lately . Just thought I'd ask what do you think the value of 6 ton cut up Oak is worth ? I will be offering this for sale . Also have another 15 ton of Oak after Christmas . Or perhaps keep and process at the yard then sell when seasoned ?

If the logs are worth milling, I would mill the as the value per tonne is hugely more.

 

I would expect 6 tonnes to yield about 15 split, loose cubic metres, so what ever you can get for it per cube, times 15!

None suitable for milling at the moment . After Christmas we will have 3 or 4 nice straight 12ft sections of Oak at 2ft across that would be suitable for milling .

You could price those straight sticks at about £100 a tonne roadside and I'm sure they would be taken. As is always the case, you would get more for the tonne if you had a full wagon load. A few sticks incur higher haulage costs.
