Tp 200 v tp270

Hi all

at present I have a pto tp200 with turntable was looking to upgrade to a larger more productive machine for my mog, was wondering if any of you had use of these!! Are the any better thoughts please.

good chipper !!! have used a 270 and found it to be a great piece of kit , what size mog do you have ?

TP's are great Chippers, I am looking to downsize my Tp 250 for a tp200.

I have u1000 with 130hp engine, I find the 200 very versatile with the turntable but now have tracked chipper for smaller jobs so would use mainly for clearance/forestry work

The only problem we have found with running bigger chippers on our u1600 is that once the mog is loaded with chip you go over your rear axle weight , we found that in the end we were putting the chipper on the front to drive back with !! having said that if we were to try and do that with our Jensen A240 we would be well over on the front axle !!

 

So in short i would make sure that the chipper is not going to cause you too many problems in terms of axle damage .

Don't have much trouble with loads as most time only moving chip around site or chipping on ground.

That's also the reason for maybe sticking with tp chipper they seem light compared to other makes. I'd love a 250bandit but the weight puts me off unless I go tractor rather then mog, and that starts a another thread on mog v tractor!!!!
