ok im in work tomo and il ask but im sure that to work on utility powerlines live you need cs 30 31 38 39 40, utility arb 1 2.1 2.2 2.3. and authorisation from the dno. and for rail ways you need you personal track safety, a drugs + alcohol medical and your chainsaw units. all the safety info for rail is in the pts itself. anmd you have to have a sponsor to work on rail, ie, the company you work for will sponsor you and get you the correct documentation to work on rail. and for highways just your basic chainsaw units. hope this can be of help. good luck

Syd,

in order to get a PTS card you need to be sponsored onto the course initially, or have a sponsor willing to put you through PTS.

It comprises a medical £138, a drugs and alcohol test £75 and then a two day training course £185.

hope thats of some use.
