I may be being simple but

The time I find this feature most useful is if someone has asked a question and I've tried to answer it - I like to check whether my answer has made any sense or not, or if they have any further questions - I always feel it looks a bit rude if I answer, they ask for more information and I don't reply.

It can be a bit tricky watching out for the right thread, or even remembering what the thread was called sometimes. Something that lists the threads you've posted in, particularly if it puts the ones where new posts have been made in bold, can be quite helpful in this respect.

I know what you mean...

Go to Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists - Search Forums

then type your username in the username box, make sure you select 'threads' not 'posts' under 'show results as', then click search.

pow!

(bit long winded compared to a one click button...)

no it doesn't. it comes up with the threads you have posted in.

(under the username box, make sure it says 'find posts by user', not 'threads started by..'

Not what you said the first time!!! :001_tongue:

'Threads by user' shows all the threads you've started, 'posts by user' shows all your posts, including multiple posts in the same thread...

What you can have in other fora [!] - and here too apparently if we wanted if Steve's cryptic comment is anything to go by :001_tongue: - is a list of only the threads you have posted in, shown bold if your post has received a reply...

As Alec says, it saves the problem of forgetting what the name of a thread you've been posting in for a start... :001_smile:
