My cs38 coarse sarts tomorrow and although I'm excited and looking forward to it, the nerves are setting in a little :001_huh: does anyone have any pointers for the coarse and ways to overcome the nerves?

Take your time. dont rush. concentrate on the next limb you have to climb up to. when that is achieved. go for the next one. after a while you will forget about looking down. Listen to your instructor and trust your ropes and harness. Best of luck. Stay safe

Cheers for that dog tag, have had a crash coarse in climbing but that's it so far, I didn't fair too bad but obviously a long way off the standards required for the assessment

Learn your theory well, its really important... practice makes perfect (or closer to perfect lol).. most of all enjoy it, remember why you wanted this in the first place helped me loads..

Trust what your instructor tells you and ask questions if you're unsure about something.

Keep calm, even if it's taken you 20 throws to get your next anchor point.

Enjoy it. It takes time to build confidence.

Where are you doing it?
