Hi

I've got a Major 14t vertical splitter on hydraulics & 3pt linkage and I want to put a 4 way knife and a table extension on it. The table extension should be fairly straightforward but I was wondering if anybody had a similar splitter and had put a 4 way knife on it or even if anyone has put a 4 way knife on any standard splitter as a retrofit before? Any advice?

Cheers

I personally think the four way knifes on a vertical splitter are a bit of a waste of money as they will only cut logs the same diameter as the knife itself so you end up with loads of little logs. I cut the ends off mine and use it like that you only have to go in an inch and it breaks the log and fibres. I would be interested in what others think.
