75 squid a day AND you supply fuel and your own saw! in the south of England. Have things got that bad? Surely as a groundy for a tree surgeon you would earn more, (and it'd be a lot easier!)

If you ever change your mind I live in South Oxfordshire, not far from Reading, I'm always looking for good hand cutters and I pay a good deal more than £75.

 

On the downside, at the moment I can't offer permanent work, but if you were prepared to travel I could put you in touch with another contractor who needs more hand cutters and between us we could probably offer you a fair amount of work.

If you're going from production cutting to Estate working then you'll certainly not need to work as hard. Job security is great but don't be surprised if you get bored.

 

I managed 9 months on the books for one estate before leaving - they, like many, were resistant to change and I suddenly realised that if I didn't leave I'd be doing exactly the same thing in the same place in 40 years time.

Cheers for the offer nick! kind of looking to get out of commercial cutting tbo done it for a couple of years nearly now, looking for a new chllenge.
