If you have the stamina and drive, drop it and log it. Most of us learn the hard way. Take a good look at how you will do it, then do it in the most efficient and effective way you can.

Sometimes it can be most effective to fell and process where tree stands, other times fell em and cart them to a central point or into a barn for a wet day job. Evaluate.

As said pine spits but if seasoned properly as almost any wood will make wood stove fuel which is where most firewood goes these days.

Assume your location is not 50 miles from nearest potential customer. Fell and split now start sales next winter.
