Quite new to fungi id and am trying to expand my knowledge. Struggling on this one, is it Meripilus? :blushing:

First one's definately NOT Meripulus.

Merip has fronds, the ones in your picture are mushrooms, Imo possibly one of the Pholiota sp.

Too desicated for a positive Id.

The second shot looks to me, like one of the Oyster fungi. Pleutorus sp.

http://www.aie.org.uk/index.html look at 'Pleurotus ostreatus' in the Tree Fungi Pictures and Information link

Thanks, :001_smile:

It it does look like a type of Pleurotus, it was the colour and apparant lack of gills on the underside that confused me:confused1:,

had a closer look today and there are lots, looks to dark to be 'Pleurotus ostreatus' the ones ive been shown where a lot more white/grey than these.

The one at the base was a little past its best.

Great link thanks :thumbup1: will go and check the ID on some of my older pics
