Rememberance Day, don't forget

Just a reminder not to forget those who gave their lives for this country. Going to kids football where there's a two minute silence today.

 

Lest we forget

 

People have a choice to join the armed forces these days (and i thank them all)..Those that went before us were never afforded such luxury's.

 

We should never forget.

I was on a train at the time and the driver announced the beginning and end of the 2 minute silence.

 

Always a tough time but even more so this year - I'm in the TA and one of my Regiment was killed last month.

This is something people forget easily. Conscription was a major part of both wars. And people seem to forget they had no choice. And shellshock was not recognised in the First World War but was rather seen as desertion or coward ness.

 

Every soldier who fights in any war gets my full and upmost respect.
