poorly dogs

black lab was first to get it,lethargic, vomiting,off the food(unheard of) temperature, up to vets for antacid and antibiotics, now oldest dalmatian has the same, 4 days later,hope younger dal and really old lab dont get it ,anybody else had this with their dogs, walk mine in commision woodland so must be something going round

Blimey. Well done taking them to the vets. Seasonal canine woodland sickness is about in certain places. Have to be really careful. It can be fatal if untreated by vets.

My jack Russell has had the trotts and sickness for a couple of days. The vet says there is a lot of it about at the mo.

have they eaten something ?

if mine did that id be thinking secondary poisoning from eating poisoned animals but if youve been to vets then they would have spotted that:)

other thing id think is wiels disease

not been pesimistic just thinking out loud

Keep in touch with the vet on this...he can do no food for a while but not without water.

 

Tell the vet he's not drinking as he may have to go in and be put on a drip, they'll do blood tests at the same time. I just had ten days of this with my cat and he's fine now after being on the brink for a while.

thanks mate, the dal does like to kill rats, hes up the vets tomorrow,so hopefully all will be sorted

Watch you dont let them drink out of stagnant or especially algae infested ditches and the like .. Sounds if they have injested a toxin but the vet knows best

born to trot, yes they do like a slurp out of the shitty water in wheel ruts etc up the woods
