ID: Small tree, Deciduous, Red Fruit, Red Jade?

The red sentinel has larger fruit with shorter stems.

 

Wrong time of year for flowers, but Ill photograph the tree.

 

I think all of the malus varieties that have been mentioned, match based on some of the google images, but then some of the images dont match.

 

Its close enough for me to eat them, besides they taste like crabapple!

Flowering time and fruit size can vary depending on time of pruning.

Flowering can be up to 8 weeks apart depending on time of pruning.

Clearly i dont know enough about trees!

 

but its a roadside tree, so probably doesnt get much pruning.

Agree its not red sentinel. As for it being an apple pips should confirm ID
