The problem is the banks not even 20 m long. But the Hollie and hazel is about a meter way from the hole so if we don't drop anything on there it won't disturbed the badgers will it.

I would think twice about going near it without finding out how you legally stand. it can be a mine field of legal loop holes and you step one foot wrong and they come down on you hard, police dont even know the law and will probably pass it onto another authority.

But be warned, if they get a phone call from a member of the public they will come out faster than a rat up a drain pipe and will not take "I didnt know" for an excuse.

Be on the safe side or it could cost you more than a wasted days work!!

iv done harvester work round badger set and we had about 100meter radius then me brothers doing a job with them on and thay can be within half a trees length away so think it all depends what the badger people do bout it

You will not see the badgers. Done loads of work near and around badger setts and never have i seen them.

 

Do give natural england a call to cover your back though mate. Try and get it in writing, if not make a record of who you speak to, from which office and the date.
