How are the logging tapes holding up to the wet muddy conditions. Mine normally lasts about an hour in the mud before it stops working, and i have to revert back to the measuring stick.

Yeah not bad, all 3 still working well one lost its end pin but other than that doing well.

So today we went in for 6hrs to extract Block 1 to riverside for the barge to collect.

 

Due to last nights full moon the river level was higher than the bank in a lot of places so myself and sam got soaked in frozen water very quickly. Jenny operated the winch from the dry . Skidder cone was a bit fiddly BUT was a real god send we manged to mainly get drags of 4 which i was happy with and the drag line setup worked a treat.

A couple more and the last one is a before we started winching out and after 100 6m poles out of this block then we did a very small block that contained 14 6m poles.

Yeah but only on this bit as there is all the stock we need. we probably will leave the 140 left in the block you were in as it looks like the extraction is going to take too long.
