hi there all im a 18 year old lad wanting to get into the tree game but dont no how as carnt get into rodbaston collage as dont have grades to suit also ticket prices abit out of my budget so any advice would be helpful of what to do next

Phone a local company and say you will work for free.

Get down to Buxtons at Penkridge and stick your name and number on the pin board next to all the Arb Business cards. I,m sure something will come of that . They might charge you a small fee but hey its worth a shot and they have a lovely Cafe there to . You could also put your number down on the cafe pin board

Phone back the ones you've already phoned, tell them your aims and ambitions, tell them you'll happily be a drag slag pulling stuff to the chipper, whatever it takes to get a foot in the door. Tell them you agent got the grades for college, tell them you want to earn to get your tickets. Perseverance is the key. At 18, have you any other skills that would be useful to an employer, even if it's not seemingly related to the job. D you have an aptitude for mechanics, or other handy skills?

Finally, have you put out a shout here on the forum for anyone to give you amstart in your area?
