MK1 vw caddy pickup. ran on the sniff an oily rag and i never put a spanner to it. Had 278,000 on the clock when i sold it and it's the worst thing i ever did - sell it that is.

Missed it so much i bought another recently just for fun. Surprising what you can get in the back and did 50mpg easy.

Cheers for the replies everyone - went to a van dealership yesterday and they have advised me to get a vaxual astravan and then use it with a trailer. Will be the most economical vehicle to get as im still travelling 50mile round trip to college 2/3days a week.

Citroen C15D van, loads of room :001_tt1:

Then a tired but tough as nails Vauxhall (Isuzu) 4x4 pickup- lower slung than most, and gutless for towing but a sweet truck. The Vauxhall and Chevvy's are still around, a good way to get a cheap Japanese truck :001_smile:

Isuzu trooper with Ifor williams P6e trailer ford mondeo as back up lol.

Used to fold down the seats, pole saw in diagonally, saws etc all jamned in. The trailer had side extensions and a home made ladder rack and Id load it up with well over a ton, loaded in then mashed up with a saw then racheted down lol.

That was until the whole axle asembly snaped off and parted company at 40 mph and I upgraded lol!! i sold the trailer for exactly what I paid for it.

These days I have a ford transit mk6, nissan navara and a Ifor LM trailer.
