Working for the council for 3 years(worst decision ever)leaving the council to sub(best decision). Council is a institution and i found unless you can sit back do fark all and go with the flow then it's a dead end.People's spirits and dreams die in those places!

Whats the worst that can happen? You run out of money and have to get a job in tescos. even some of their jobs pay enough to get by. I was in the same scenario till 3 weeks ago. spent the last 10 years day dreaming and wondering at whilst at work wondering what it would be like to be free. Then BOOM! Just do it! Had so much private work that I did grass cutting till the sun went down. So i did a big push on here asking for freelance work here and there and combined it with my own work. Now I still dont have enough time to keep up with everything.

Wow, thanks for the replies!

 

Wanted to give you all an update. I got offered a role through an agency, not quite tree orientated but permanent work over Christmas / New Year. Decided to go for that and get a bit more money together and get ready to throw myself into self employment come February time.

 

THEN heard from someone on here with potential permanent work, pending a trial day hopefully later this week, so we'll see.
