Carpel tunnel can be resolved by an operation, you say you don't want to go down that route but if that is your only option then it should be a consideration. There is a pretty good explanation of it here Carpal tunnel release surgery | Bupa UK

 

White finger sounds more like Raynauds, Raynaud's Disease - NHS Choices

 

A friend of mine has carpel tunnel, it can be operated on but its not a permanent fix, ie it returns, or at least his has.

At least i know i dont have Raynauds :) Im in two minds whether to continue sawing or not. It seems to be 50:50 whether the op works. Although saying that, i dont really want to get the stage where i need an op. Private / sports physio next stop i think.
