Hi guys.

Currently working for Bolton MBC as a tree officer, looking for some practical work at weekends for experience and a bit of extra cash/make contacts.

If anyone has casual groundie/climber work they need at weekends or possibly other days drop me a PM, can travel a bit too so if it's just outside lancs etc get in touch either way.

[Have CS 30/31/39 + Aerial rescue] :001_smile:

I declare it at work on the record - also tenders and contracts are handled specifically by the contracts manager who is removed from the TOs area of work and i'm there for 12 months on placement as part of my degree, of which i'm 7 months in so I don't see any problem with it.

If you work within the area of your TO duties I would call it a conflict of interest

Do you deal with TPO's?

No there is a TPO & woodland officer for that.

You could rather call me "Student who does surveying for council under the title of Junior TO" than what is an actual TO - Bolton MBC is strange I think in that their section has 5 people for TO duties, Head of section, section assistant, tpo and woodland officer, and 2 placements - one of which I fill.

Fair enough Pete; i'll have to see what is permissable and not of course in the fine print. If it's a no go then I'll either stay at BMBC or hold my nose and jump when there is no conflict of interest. :001_smile:

Now that’s an entirely different thing to “working for Bolton MBC as a tree officer” Well that’s that cleared up, now lets talk about Tax...Only kidding:001_cool:
