I'm expecting some flack mate:001_smile:

How about this then, I've said this before but not on arbtalk...

If you ain't a climber you ain't a tree surgeon..

Agreed.

I would add that being a climber does not automatically mean you are a tree surgeon.

I have seen and worked with loads of climbers who I would not regard as tree surgeons, despite the fact they are working as tree surgeons.

Know wot I mean :001_smile:

Actually, on a serious note (cos the thread has turned into a Channel 5 comedy) this is a good example of how things can easily be 'lost in translation' and disagreements can easily occur.

Im only here cos my wife is watching Corrie.:001_smile:

I meant cheers for agreeing with the previous post of mine and adding to it.

It's one of the pitfalls of forum stuff which I'm quite used to by now.

I'm on the cusp of getting banned here however and a little worried about free speech issues.

You may have noticed that I don't personally insult people most of the time.

That old chestnut again

Some people need to learn what the difference is between supposed free speech, and mouthing off on an internet forum under a pseudonym

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
