Sorting through all my old photographs as I am still un packing in my new room,I found a regular paper one that made me see how stupid I had been in the past. Before I post it I,ll remind you of this one of me in my favourite of all trees. The Llangernyw Yew estimated at 5,000 years old.it was at this moment as I sat pondering this venerable Tree that I decided to Man up and sort my Hernia out after Many, Many years. I was still living a normal life but with a secret that only my family new about.......

Two weeks later I walked into the opperating theatre unable to speak becsuse of the fear that had held me back from sorting it out all that time...I really believed I wouldnt wake up after the Opp!.....because I was asked to shave the injured area I freshly shaved my head so the curtains matched the Carpet:D it was also my ritualistic side having an effect on me...this picture shows me one hour aftet my repair at home with the magine and drink my girlfriend gave me to cheer me up...I couldnt walk propperly for 2 weeks, I was climbing 1 month later but it took 1 year to fully recover. That moment in the Yew Tree and that moment with me smiling after what doctors said could have prolonged my life are what gave me my determination now...everything happens for a reason ay? Moral of this tale? If you have a Hernia, don't be a tit like me...get it sorted:)

Words of wisdom there Paul it is always best to get things looked at rather than putting it off.

But like most of us me included things get left or brushed to one side.

My wife says I have white coat syndrome will never go near the doctors even when I need to.:001_smile:

I lived with a tremendous ammount of agony from the moment I stood up in a morning until I went to bed with a severely injured iguinal canal.sneezing, coughing hiccuping and after about 10 years gravity squeezing my lower bowel into my scrotum all day! Then, having to press it all back up! What a terrible life I led...took me right into the darkest avenues of life including drug abuse alcohlism...anything to numb the pain (except the hospital) all down to fear......That tree and enlightenment took me out of the gutter.....:) that episode is 6 years behind me. And if it wasn't for those dark years I wouln't be the man I am today. Sorry for the morbid posts folks...finding that photograph triggered a need to share.now i've done it I can finally move on....I didn't even recognise the broken man sitting in the tree.....tis Over:):)

Had a couple of days off so I've been stocking up on Supplies...I can't get enough of fruit...I found even freshly squeezed orange juice contains around 25 grams of sugar! So I only take the fresh stuff for Vitamin C.
