In Desperate times...My Silky saves the day!

Haven't used a Zillon in about a year John...this will be used with a pulley.

Have you seen much change in London .?

 

Changes in Architecture which i really like.And it's nice to get away from the ground level in the City.I wad happy to return up here a day early.I did every i intended to do.Spent a day with my school friend who was over from New Zealand

And caught up with friend Derek who is now back climbing! Not bad for a double below the knee amputee...Once a climber...always a climbet...with or without feet! Enjoyed some nice Rum with him.

After me,he's the most determined man i've ever met.

A good friend.

But this was my last view of London....then i descended to the Underground and off to the train...

And so still with Architecture on my mind (of the 1,000 year old variety) i spent my day off at my local world heritage site.The lego build is almost complete.

Found a carved date on one of the tombs (not this one) of 1647 which dates back to when the were over 2,000 Scottish soldiers and their horses were imprisoned in here after the battle of Dunbar.

A lot of the stone is being replaced.If only the old ones could talk..Rhink of all the events within this ancient building they could speak about...

Couldn't leave without a thoughtful moment in the area preserved for the Durham light infantry battle flags...
