The Colour of this tree almost took away from this decent siEd dead oak dismantle..left at 5 metres as a monolith.

Had to catch up a programme i'd missed during the week about a year in the life of the Oak Tree...one of the best programmes i've ever seen! Everyone should see this highly informative documentary...puts everything into perspective regarding a tree that has become such a part of who we are....and what an interesting looking creature one of it's inhabitants is....The Acorn weevil😎

take the kids there quite regular and have often wondered if it was perhaps mbro council did something about the trees over the play area.

if you are still on site take a walk up toward the ponds at the top the trees between the pond and the museum are where i first experienced tree climbing aged about 3

It is Mike...we removed 4 dead and removed a couple of dead tops on the play area.Very popular park with a little bird sanctuary.It covers a huge area.
