stihl hl75 long reach trimmer- worn clutch?

hi all,

 

my second post regarding this topic. basically blades stopped moving, i have checked and all is working correctly ie gear head,blades, shaft/bearings, so i guess the fault may point towards the clutch?

 

what are the signs the clutch has worn, or is there any other possibilities as to why the blades have stopped moving.

 

i have enclosed some pics in case this gives a clue. any help would be appreciated

That clutch looks fine.

Did you check out the other suggestions on the first thread?

has 1, end of the drive shaft sheared of

yeah checked all from the first thread. nothing obvious appears broken/worn so im stuck at what it could be

Are you sure that an end of the metal drive shaft hasn't rounded off? Or the square hole it goes into hasn't rounded off a bit (prob more likely)?

i'll have a look. if the holes/shaft are rounded what would be the solution, weld it or replace the worn parts?
