Hi

My name is jack, am 19.

Dose any one know where i can do a chainsaw course around worcestershire or get a job on a site to learn a bit about driving a tree harvester/forwarder ?

Pershore college would probably be a good place to start.

If you want to do forwarding then you need to go to either Sparsholt in Hampshire or Baroney College in The Boarders. Sparsholt will do you agri base the Barny have a few purpose built.

 

Best way into forwarding is working as a cutter and try and get into the forwarder once in a while.

 

As for harvester you either need lots of money for a pointless 1 week course. Be very lucky and get in with someone with a machine. Or go overseas.

i agree, theres quite a few jobs out in canada at the minute bud, try looking out there. i believe theres a couple of lads on here from BC. maybe worth chatting to them

Thanks, i will look into it. I phoned Baroney College the other day and they said i need to be working in the industry first to get a good chance to enter. so i am doing my cs30 and cs31 course soon then i need to find a job.

 

If anyone knows of any jobs going around the west midlands let me know, would be much appreciated.
