Re-rubbering bigshot head

Just a quinck one, I was wondering if anyone had any tricks or tips on the best way to get new rubber onto a bigshot head? Ive got a couple of old heads and the old rubber was rubbish. I want to reinstate them as they have the old pouches (I reckon they're much better). It would be a big help. Thanks

a light coating of petrol on the frame, helps get the elastic on(had to think how to word that lol)

A bit of spit works fine.

Hold it under the water tape and ease on with wire fid or similarly rounded rod.

A little soap will help. Carefull not to puncture.

I have onely replaced one and that worked well for me.

Warm soapy water.. Slides on easy as. Ive just replaced our one at work. Slides on easy and then leave it over night to dry out.

Use the mrs's hair spray mate.

 

The aerosol works well because you can properly spray it down the rubbers and hairspray evaporates pretty quick.
