it is actually a rear mounted one but you could front mount with a different gearbox for the drive

You should have started a new thread for this but thanks for opening it up as the pictures of the Red Mog U1000 bought back a tear - it was mine some years ago!

 

The advantages/disadvantages of any machine depend on the circumstances of its use. Obvious pros include cost, weight, resale value and general usability for most circumstances. However, if you do rail deveg, or overhead lines, or site clearance, or big forestry clearance then don't get a road tow as the become a ground anchor off road, they generally arn't big enough, the towing vehicle cannot access the site etc.

 

Give us an example of the type of work that it needs to do and I'm sure that you'll get many responses.
