I have my doubts but I know hes got some 50"+ perfectly round cedar in one yard. I'll have a hunt and dig out some poplar.

 

Found a vintage 10ft decorator tressle, perfect as a base for the target. Just need to stand it in some chip to reduce damage from the miss throws!

Right, here goes. This is an idea for the more erm competitive amongst us , sorry you lot.

1. Arbtalk Axethrowers Forum?

2. Arbtalk Axethrowers championship league, points accrued across next years shows for the title of Axethrowing Champion 2013 with some sort of token trophy, to run alongside the fundraiser for Childrens Trust, all proceeds to the Trust.

 

So, whos up for it? Do you think it will a) work and b) be fun?

i think one prime rule should be that you must own your own throwing axe that meets Gransfors competition regs, so either a Gransfors or an Oschenkopf.

 

Over to you guys, and Steve can we have a separate forum pleAse when you have time?

I've been a bit engrossed it getting back into work mode Dan, but I think we can give this some thought in the New Year, in the build up to next years shows etc

Ok, I may be a bit early but the sun was out today so summertime must be on it's way. With the announcement earlier this week of the first Arbtalk axe throwing event of the year I got thinking about this.

 

Is there much interest in a league of some sort to warrant putting one together? Could be a cracker if it got up and running.
