My wife saw this, and now wants one any ideas? The flower spike is about 4m tall! The buds look like they hadn't opened yet...

Looks like Aloa vera or even an artichoke but I don't think it is!

Leaves very aloe like, but not your typical barbadensis...

It's an agave and the flowering will kill it!

Promise your beloved a holiday in Mexico so she can fulfil her agavicious desires.

Sounds like a good excuse for a holiday, maybe that will get her over her fear of flying!

You can also tempt her with the knowledge that a similar agave is what they distil tequila from and if she looks hard enough she'll find the Peyote cactus from which is derived mescaline. She's got quite a trip (ha ha) in the offing...

give her a bit of the agave nectar - the right dose should take care of the fear of flying :-)

I think we both took enough trips in our youth! Some tequila I wouldn't turn down though
