47 horses at engine and 40 on pto so a few more to play with unless a couple are a little lame. Try farmers trader . . . . Cant remember the name of them but there are some little 6" machines in there that'd suit that tractor.

Cheers

Oh right, thought 47hp was for the gasoline model as per

TractorData.com Ford 3000 tractor information

but above not so clear hence my confusion...

Where did you get the 47 / 40 figure from?

A no stress system is a big sign saying my engine isn't big enough!:001_rolleyes:

You could stick the chipper on your tractor, turn the rollers down and go and have a cup of tea between branches:biggrin:

I like power, I Am the most easily irritated person on the planet, so waiting for a chipper to stop start its way through branches makes me mad:blushing:

My mog doesn't have a rev counter but it certainly isn't working hard when chipping full capacity :001_smile:

HI TCD if the 3000 is to small for the job sale it and get a fordson major with a ford cargo 130hp plus engine in that will run the chipper and good for tractor pulling shows :thumbup1:jon

Thanks mate but I inherited the 3000 and it stays in the family etc. Not needing a particularly powerful chipper, just fancied a little one on the back for yard jobs etc. Got the MTX 135 with Jensen A041 if i need power.
