Can anyone help, I have recently purchased one of the above second hand in very good condition for what I though was a very good price of £220.00

My problem is the short adjusting handle has come away and lost in a recen hedge job, Stihl want a stupid £19 for a small part !, anyone recommend anyone that I can get the part at a fraction of that cost.

I've looked on eBay no luck at all, it's the short 3-4" metal rod that used to angle the blades to cut at 60, 45, or 90 degrees.

Your thanks in advance.

Andrew

Just find a screw that will fit ( you could force a slightly larer thred into it or glue a rod in there ) .. in my opionon the fixed straight head is the best lighter and doeasnt catch on stuff.

Thats the price of spares these days

I was in my local nissan dealership revently

£22 for an E clip- should be pennies

£58 for a wing mirror glass- were £22 about 3 years ago.

Firms are making big money on spares as we are fixing things more rather than buy new.

Just find a long bolt that will fit the hole.

Lost mine ages ago and never botherd replacing it with anything, just use you hands when it's stopped or use the floor to angle it.

Why spend when you don't really need it, unless you are going to sell it.
