Lol this isnt really directly about trees... ever herd of grav. lensing , where ie a black hole can fold and bend space( and time ) ,, its been proven to exsit ,, but ultimatley doesnt this mean every thing we see could actually be a reflection of ourselfs ...... I dont hink its the size of the gravitaional feild but its intesity ... also how would u know it was the without any other indicators ie .. stuff falling into it ( it also in my mind mean the univers could be alot smaller thatn thought but still infinite.

For really big read intense lol When you look really far away your essentially looking back in time, so they're looking for the 'blast front' (for want of a better phrase) from the big bang. But all that light from far far (and a long long time ago) away needs focused to be able to see. I think?
