I`ve found these ones to be perfectly good.

That's what I currently use but I still find too much sound gets through at times. It seems there's perhaps a limit to how effective ear muffs are on their own - to block out a lot of sound a combination of the muffs and plugs looks to be the best way.

 

Thanks for all the replies - will look into getting some of the plugs suggested.

Lol rember with plugs every thing u have touched ,, is now in direct contact with a nasal membrane ... any how gl with those expanding spuds in ure ear

That's why it pays to be careful don't you think?

 

I'm thinking a little discomfort now and again will be the lesser of two evils.
