true, the axe throwing and climbing for charity sound like great ideas, my ax throwing skills would make the news for the wrong reason so i would just spectate! i know at the ploughing championships here (300 or there abouts machinery stands) the companys dont sell much, they go to show face and promote brands. last year while wearing a stihl jacket at the importers stand i wound up answering a few questions as i knew more about the saws than the office types who were there to promote the stuff.... got a free 5lt bar oil for my time! husqvarna had good demos there there version of timbersports, stihl had carving, saw sharpening and displaying viking...

Tbh shows are what you make of them. Ive been around the AA Show in about an hour and gone home again in the past, (Before Arbtalk) now its a full 2 day event for me. Same at other shows. Now I put something into it, enjoy the shows and spend less money, just through participating, meeting people for a laugh and a few beers
