I saw one like this on ebay! how well dos the snap shackle run? I spliced an aluminium ring on mine at the retrievable end and found that it brushed at an angle an caused unwanted friction on the rope when descending. since seeing this one i picked up a shackle to give your design a try. .

id climb on it bro. the beeline should be a class 2 splice but i dont think it would be an issue. But technically its wrong. Be interesting to see what would happen in a pull test...

looks a bit like marlow lsk static!! is it possible to splice static line??

also saw that on ebay, might of snapped it up if i didn't already have one.
