as i said before on another thread, lets stick together, pass on advice and come up with some ideas. i have been back to basics for months now. food, water and shelter. if idont need to go anywhere i dont, if someone phones about work i ask how much are they going to spend, and when will they pay me. if it isnt straight away, i am not interested. running around in vehicles to price work for dreamers costs us money. we still have to pay for wages and breakdowns while they hold the wonga. I broke my own rule 5 weeks ago and now i am out 5k and it is costing me a lawyer to chase it. I broke my winch on that job which i cant afford to fix, and was out easy a grand in wages plus fuel. should of stayed in bed.

Bloody hell Shrek Junior, if I asked my customers how much they are willing to spend and when will they pay me I would never get work.

Perhaps that's where your going wrong, you have to put as much trust in your customer as they are putting into you.

It's a two way street. :001_smile:

Your doing something wrong, I have only had to chase money once in the last six years.

You are obviously more on the commercial side which can be good money but too high a risk for my liking, if your on domestic then your obviously over charging, I'll stick with my low paid, low risk domestic work thank you.

I find the bought and paid for kit useful but only I only need 1 house :sneaky2:

I do only domestic work but as i said i broke my own rule. worked for someone i didnt know well and got bumped, i was trying to offer some advice, not criticise how others run their own business. I dont assume other peoples methods or judge.
