Ms200 Clutch fitting?

Hi Guys could someone explain to me how to put a clutch back on properly thanks

Do you mean putting the assembly back on saw or rebuilding the assembly?

 

If it back on saw its opposite thread, righty loose lefty tighty!

just putting the assembly back on I've put it back on and tightened it but it feels like its to tight! and Im not sure if I'm supposed to line it up to something?

Is it on the right way round? There should be a bit of hex nut sticking out one side more than the other.

 

Sorry I got no pic or I would post some. Is it always tight when turned or is it the compression stroke of the cylinder making it seem tight? The clutch will turn with engine until the chain break is put on!

There is a plastic collar that drivers the oil pump, that needs lining up with the clutch drum, before the clutch is refitted.

I've just confused myself there.

 

Is the clutch cover tight? Metal outer that the chains attaches to! This should spin freely around the clutch when engine not running but will spin when engine running.

As Skyhuck says, the oil pump needs to line up with the spur, if not when you tighten it up it will bind up.

 

Tip, after fitting correctly check its all free. Do not run up the saw without the bar and chain on. The clutch self tightens under load, but can loosen under overrun (when throttling down) if it has not fully tightened. The drum could spin off at 200 mph (guess) and hit the workshop wall before getting lost in the rubbish under the bench.

Another thought, is the outer washer on the right way round? Between the snap ring and the out clutch cover? It's curved so could be round way round pushing the cover too close to clutch?
